COVID Activities

To keep busy during social distancing, I was experimenting with different photographic techniques in and around the house. Most of these techniques involved using a macro lens. Then there was a gradual change from dull and grey to more photogenic as spring evolved. I carried my camera on our daily walks and captured the colours and textures from day to day. Without the usual pre-pandemic activities, focusing on the evolution from winter to spring was an interesting diversion from what is going on in the world. The gallery of photos starts with my indoor experimentation and progresses from there.

Sharon's iPhone photo of the robin's nest on a rafter under our back deck. Taken through the crack between the boards. It is interesting that the iPhone camera got a better image than any of my expensive lenses.
